Faddomā€™s New Customized Reporting Dashboard

Weā€™ve introduced new features to give you greater control over your dashboards, making them fully customizable and easier to manage:

  • Personalized Dashboards: Each user can now define their own dashboards, selecting the specific "cards" to include and arranging them to suit their needs.

  • Public and Private Dashboards: Users can specify whether a dashboard is public or private. Creating public dashboards now requires a newly introduced permission type for added security.

  • Streamlined Reporting: Reporting and gaining a comprehensive, high-level view of critical metrics has never been easier, empowering teams to focus on what matters most.

Email Notifications Integration

Weā€™ve enhanced the email notification system to provide more flexibility and convenience.

  • Flexible Server Options: Users can select their preferred email server configuration:

  • Local SMTP Server: Allows simple configuration without the need the set credentials for your organizational email server.

  • Organizational SMTP Server: Allows users to customize additional email server details to align with their organizational settings.

User Inventory: Active Directory Integration

Weā€™ve upgraded the User Inventory feature providing enhanced insights and streamlined user account information.

Key Features:

  • Automatic Data Sync: Collect detailed information on user accounts, including group membership, email, department, job title, and more, directly from AD.

  • Inactive User Highlighting: Quickly identify users who have never logged in or have been inactive for a specified time, improving account management and security.

  • Improved Visibility: Centralized view of all user accounts for efficient monitoring and auditing.

Maps: Enhanced Filter Grouping

  • Create Filter Groups: Users can now create grouped filters, simplifying filter management across multiple maps.

  • Selective Application: Filter groups can be applied to multiple maps, removing the need to create individual filters for each map or apply filters globally to all maps.

SAML Authentication and Authorization Implementation

Weā€™ve integrated SAML authentication and authorization into Faddom, enabling secure and flexible access management:

  • Support for Multiple Identity Providers: Organizations can configure their own Identity Provider (IdP), whether online or offline, for seamless SAML integration.

  • Secure User Authentication: Users can now authenticate via SAML, ensuring a secure and standardized login process.

  • Centralized Authorization: Permissions and roles are managed through the configured IdP, simplifying user access control and management.

Redesigned Inventory Page

Weā€™ve given the Inventory page a fresh new look to enhance usability and clarity. The redesign offers a more intuitive layout and improved organization, helping users easily access and analyze critical data.

Key improvements include:

  • Enhanced Data Presentation: A clean and structured layout for better visibility of essential details, such as host names, IP addresses, OS versions, and more.

  • Improved Navigation: Simplified navigation across data sources, server types, and software components for a seamless user experience.

Maps: Configurable and Accessible Colors

Weā€™ve introduced a new feature to enhance map accessibility by allowing users to configure map colors:

  • Customizable Colors: Users can now adjust map colors to align with their preferences or organizational standards.

  • Improved Accessibility: This update ensures color schemes are accessible for all users, including those with color vision deficiencies

Application Map - Change Summary: New "Ignore" Filter Option

In the change summary, a third option, ā€œIgnoreā€, has been added to filter settings.

Selecting this option automatically applies the filter with the checkbox marked, ensuring the server remains visible while ignoring change detection in maps.

Application Maps: Textual Information on Hover

When hovering over a server on the map, a textual information "line" is now displayed.

This includes key details about the server, such as name, IP address, or other relevant data, providing quick insights without needing to click or zooming-in.

Maps: Customizable Field Display Order

You can now change the order of fields displayed in maps, giving you greater flexibility to prioritize the information most relevant to your needs. This enhancement makes it easier to tailor maps to your workflow and ensure key details are front and center.

SSL: Expanded Certificate Details

Weā€™ve enhanced SSL certificate insights by adding two new fields: Subject.OU and Subject.O. These additions provide more detailed information about your certificates, making it easier to analyze and manage them effectively.

Subnet Dependencies: Traffic Summary on Connections

Weā€™ve enhanced subnet dependency insights by adding a traffic calculation summary directly to the connections.

Application Maps: Duplicate Map Feature

Weā€™ve added the ability to duplicate application maps, streamlining your workflow and saving time.

Key Features:

  • Full Duplication: Create a copy of an existing map, including all filters and the current layout.

Efficiency: Easily reuse and modify maps for different scenarios without starting from scratch

SSL Insights: Enhanced Filtering

Weā€™ve improved the SSL Insights screen with new filtering options and a clearer interface:

  • Updated Labeling: The ā€œManage Filtersā€ section has been renamed to ā€œIgnored Certificatesā€ to reduce confusion and provide clearer navigation.

  • New Filters: Added the ability to filter by:

    • Server

    • Port

    • SSL Version

    • Expiration Status

Connection Properties Panel: Historical Timestamps Now Available

Weā€™ve updated the connection properties panel to enhance historical data accuracy:

  • Dynamic Timestamps: When searching archived data, the "last seen" timestamp now reflects the selected historical search time, ensuring consistency with the displayed connection map.

  • Improved Visibility: Timestamps are now shown directly within the properties panel, eliminating the need to export connections to CSV for historical context.

Impact Set: Cross-Map Server Highlighting

Servers in the Impact Set are now highlighted on all relevant maps, not just the current one, ensuring consistent visibility across your environment

Connection Properties: Database Name Display

When a database is detected, the full database name is now displayed in the connection properties side panel, alongside the database type (e.g., MS SQL).

This update aligns the side panel with the export functionality, which already includes a "Database Name" column, ensuring consistent access to all relevant information.

Application Maps: Resolve Server Events Directly from the Map

You can now resolve server events directly from the map screen.

Search & Investigate Features: Display Available Data Dates Only

The date picker now displays only the dates where data is available, ensuring more efficient and accurate searches.

Notifications: New "Clear All" Button

Weā€™ve made managing notifications easier with the addition of a "Clear All" button.

Quickly dismiss or resolve all open notifications or events with a single click, saving time and effort.

Notifications: Summary Report for Multiple Channels

Weā€™ve expanded the notification system to support Summary Reports across various channels:

Summary Reports can now be delivered via multiple email notification channels.

Maps: Search Functionality in Edit Screen

Weā€™ve enhanced the map edit screen by adding a search feature:

Easily search for specific servers, connections, or other elements directly within the map edit screen.
