Faddom allows you to customise the dashboard, providing an instant overview of the information that is relevant to you. These dashboards can be created per user and can be kept private or made public for every user.
Custom Dashboards
Faddom comes with three dashboards built in - IT Teams, Migration, and Security. These default dashboards can be customised with any card, as well as existing alongside custom ones.
What Is A Card?
A card is one of the various components to include in your dashboard. Each card corresponds to a feature in Faddom. You can select as many cards as you want for your dashboard, and those selected will be highlighted and have a tick next to them, while those not included, are greyed out.
If you do not have access to the feature in Faddom, you will be able to add the card but will have the Permission Denied. For example, in the picture below, the user logged in does not have access to the Software Discovery feature.
Setting a Default Dashboard
Faddom automatically sets the IT Dashboard as the default, and this can be changed. To do this, click on My Dashboards and you will see both private and public ones. Click on Set as Default for the dashboard you wish.
How to Create and Share A Dashboard
To create a Custom Dashboard, you do the following -
Select My Dashboards
Click New
Set the layout by clicking on the dotted icon
By dragging in the corners and sides you can set the size
Choose if it is Public or Private
Click Save
Edit The Dashboard
By clicking Edit you can make changes to which cards are displayed as well as the layout and whether the dashboard is Public or Private. This is done in the same way as creating a new dashboard.
