Faddom allows you to simulate and plan a migration project whether to the cloud or onprem. This enables you to fully understand what servers/services you need to migrate to provide a seamless service. You can then use these waves to provide you with an accurate cost of moving all or part of your infrastructure to an onprem system or the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) giving you a complete picture before the migration.

Create a Migration Wave

  1. Browse to the migration section in the app by selecting Migrate

  2. Click on the Create New Wave button to create a new migration wave

  3. You then select the Target whether it is a specific cloud or on-prem. For a cloud migration, you also need to select the Region

  4. Click on Next to select members in the bottom right where you will need to select what you wish to migrate - Application, Servers or Subnets or a mix

  5. Click on Next to findings where you will be able to see a summary of the wave, as well as compare the costs of each cloud, and the resources needed. From this screen, you can see a breakdown of the cost and the dependencies associated with the members. You can also amend the payment method, cloud provider and region.
