How to Amend Subnets Discovery

Sometimes, for various reasons, it is necessary to exclude certain subnets from your Application Maps/Discovery. You may also need to add subnets if they are not in a data source added to Faddom. This could be, for example, a data center that has not yet been integrated into Faddom or a remote site where the are no servers, but you do have clients.

Editing A Subnet

  1. Go into Settings

  2. Click on Discovery Scope

  3. At the end of the row with the subnet you wish to exclude, click Edit

  4. You will be presented with the below screen, uncheck the Participates In Discovery checkbox, then Save

  5. You will see an X in the Participates In Discovery column as per below

Adding A Subnet

  1. Go into Settings

  2. Click on Discovery Scope

  3. Click New

  4. Enter the name and CIDR of the subnet

  5. Select Participate in Discovery and External Traffic Collection if relevant

  6. Click Create
