Faddom analyzes real traffic, which allows it to identify which servers and IPs are actively in use. Based on this, it highlights IPs that appear unused, helping you to identify addresses with no detected traffic quickly.

You can also add notes to the IPs. This allows you to mark them, for example, as reserved for a project or temporarily down for maintenance. This ensures you always know which addresses are safe to use and which should be avoided. Additionally, once identified, you are able to run ping tests to confirm if they are responsive or not.

To find the IP addresses, please follow the process below -

  1. Navigate to the Inventory and select Free IP Addresses

  2. Set the number of IP addresses needed and the subnet/s required

  3. Click Search Now

  4. Expand the subnet to see the list. The suggested IPs are highlighted

  5. Once the list is produced, you can then have several options

    1. Add a note - either a default one or a custom one

    2. Run a ping test

    3. Copy the IPs to your clipboard

    4. Clear all the note/s for all selected IPs

    5. Change the note/s for all selected IPs

Once a note is created, it will be treated as a Server Tag and can then be used for creating maps and searching. Additionally, this will mean that the IP is not recommended for use, although it will appear in the list.
