Deploying Faddom through the GCP Marketplace

Faddom is available on the GCP Marketplace as a BYOL (Bring Your Own License) solution for mapping hybrid environments including on-premise and GCP workloads in real-time.

Instance Type

e2-small

e2-standard-4

Disk*

20GB persistent disk

100GB persistent disk

*Recommended disk space depends on environment size and connection data retention requirements.

Software

The Faddom GCP Marketplace image runs on Google Compute Engine (X86_64) with everything pre-installed.

Licensing

Faddom operates on a BYOL model. You must purchase and manage your own license from Faddom. Google Cloud only charges for infrastructure costs. Contact Faddom sales for pricing based on your infrastructure size, user count, and required functionality.

Permissions

Firewall Rules

Allow access to the server over port 443 for the Faddom UI.

Installation

Access the Faddom GCP Marketplace listing:

Click "Get Started" to deploy the instance.

Configuration

Login

Access the Faddom UI using the instance's IP address. Set an initial password for the Administrator user. Additional users can be created under Settings > Access Control.

License Activation

Activate your license after logging in. See: How to Activate Your License

Network Traffic Collection

To map additional data centers, you can deploy an additional Faddom proxy.

Software Updates

To update Faddom software: Upgrading the Faddom Server

The instance uses Oracle Linux 9. Update the OS with:

sudo dnf update
