The Inventory tab allows you, at a glance, to see a list of servers per environment, as well as the types of servers in your environment. This gives you great insight into your environment without having to go between your hyper-visor/cloud account and Faddom.

To see this information you select Inventory from the main sidebar.

From here, are automatically shown the Data Sources category, but you can select, Server Types, Software, Operating System, or Users.

Data Sources

From here, you will see a list of all the Data Sources you have integrated into Faddom and you can select or deselect the data sources you wish to see. Additionally, you can click Add to add a new source.

You will see below the list, some general information on the discovered servers, and if this is an on-prem hyper-visor (e.g. Nutanix, vCenter) you will see the VMs listed per host.

If you have integrated Kubernetes, you will see a list of your clusters as well as the number of services, nodes, and pods, as well as any errors in discovery.

IP Groups will show you a list of objects with multiple NICs including servers and load balancers. It is also possible to manually define them on this screen. Clicking on the plus icon will show a list of each IP in the group. See our article IP Groups for more information.

Server Types

This displays a list of servers per service defined here. View our article on Server Types for more information

Software

This allows you to use to see the running services/software on any server that Faddom has access to. To see more information and instructions on how to set this up, please see our Software Discovery guide.

Operating Systems

This allows you to see all OSs in your environment, highlighting the end of life and end of support OSs in your environment. You can see our guide How to Detect Out Dated OS on using this feature,

Users

This is a full inventory of your Active Directory users and groups. It will also highlight the administrators as well as any unused groups. For more details on setting this up, you can follow our guide on User Discovery
